Pakistan baseball captain,Ihsanullah left here on Monday for South Korea to attend a two-month long high-level coaching on scholarship offered to him by LG Twins Baseball Club of South Korea. Ihsanullah, a pitcher from Pakistan Army was picked by the Twins Club president Do-Hyun Eddy Na, on the recommendation of a South Korean coach Hwang, who had been coaching the Pakistan team for the last couple of years . “ It is my pleasure that I write you on behalf of the LG Twins Baseball club. I would like to take this opportunity to tell you that how glad we are to see the rapid growth of Pakistan baseball and hope to develop a solid relationship,” Do-Hyun said in his letter written to the Pakistan Federation Baseball.
Hwang who helped Pakistan baseball for couple of years has recommended that Ihsanullah as a player has a great potential and future in the game provided he gets much needed high profile training under the able guidance of seasoned coaches.
“ We believe that he could take his game to a higher level under the right coaching staff. If he is interested to accept the offer we would like to invite him for the coaching to give him a chance to experience pro-level training at our facilities.
We are willing to pay for his trip which includes flight ticket,accommodation, food and something else you need,’ he further said in the letter.
Ihsanullah, before his departure said,” it is a great opportunity for me for boosting the level of my game and I am very excited that I have been chosen for attending a high level coaching course”.
He said he would do his best to learn the finer points of the game and to make best use of the coaching gained from the Korean masters of the game.
“ I am thankful to Pakistan baseball federation and my Korean sponsors and I believe they will continue supporting baseball in Pakistan by offering similar opportunities to other brilliant Pakistani players in future”, he asserted.
