Asdrubal Cabrera’s second two-run homer of the game, originally ruled a single off the short wall in right field and overturned by replay review, broke an eighth-inning tie and lifted the Cleveland Indians to a 9-6 win over the Red Sox in Boston on Monday night.
Travis Hafner homered after Cabrera’s first home run, and the Indians won for just the third time in their last 11 games.
Jarrod Saltalamacchia hit a broken-bat two-run homer and Carl Crawford had a solo homer, a double and two runs for Boston, which was 20-6 in July — its first 20-win month since May 2007.
Cabrera’s homer came off reliever Daniel Bard (1-5) and halted his scoreless-innings streak at 261/3, the longest active streak in the majors.
MARLINS 7, METS 3 Mike Stanton hit a grand slam in the 10th for visiting Florida. Lucas Duda tied the game for the Mets with a two-run homer with two outs in the ninth, but Gaby Sanchez started the rally in the 10th with a one-out single off Jason Isringhausen (2-1).
CUBS 5, PIRATES 3 It seemed like business as usual for Carlos Zambrano against the trade-fortified Pittsburgh lineup. Zambrano (8-6) won his 13th career game against the Pirates, and the visiting Cubs spoiled the slugger Derrek Lee’s debut. Lee, acquired from Baltimore on Saturday, hit two homers and knocked in all three Pittsburgh runs.
NATIONALS 5, BRAVES 3 Rick Ankiel hit two home runs, and Livan Hernandez held visiting Atlanta to one run in six innings. Ankiel led off the bottom of the first with a homer to center — only the second time this season that Washington’s opening batter hit a home run. In the fifth inning, Ankiel hit a ball to the second deck in left. It was the fifth multihomer game of his career.
CARRASCO SUSPENDED Cleveland pitcher Carlos Carrasco was suspended six games and fined for throwing at Kansas City’s Billy Butler. The Indians said Carrasco, who is scheduled to start Wednesday night in Boston, planned to appeal.

The left-hander Jonathan Sanchez will come off the D.L. and start Friday against Philadelphia. The Giants also said that second baseman Freddy Sanchez would have season-ending surgery on his right shoulder Tuesday.
